what we do
Ray Jr. Film & Media is a Cleveland-rooted, nationally expanding creative production and education
brand founded by William “Ray Jr.” Winegarner. The company develops, produces, and distributes
original films, digital series, music-driven content, and culturally impactful media that spotlight authentic
stories from urban communities. Through its production arm, Ray Jr. Film & Media has executive
produced and distributed content across major streaming platforms including Starz, Hulu, and Amazon,
building a reputation for independent ownership, powerful storytelling, and community-centered
narratives.
Beyond production, the brand is deeply committed to youth education and workforce
development. Through initiatives like the Ray Jr. Film & Media Academy, students are trained in writing,
directing, cinematography, editing, podcast production, and digital marketing—creating a direct pipeline
from classroom to career in entertainment. With a focus on ownership, legacy, and economic
empowerment, Ray Jr. Film & Media blends culture, business, and storytelling to create content that
entertains, educates, and elevates communities.
